The Union of Power and Gas Employees, UPAGE, is an established industrial union for employees in the energy, utilities, power and gas sector.
Formed in 1995 following the corporatization of the Public Utilities Board’s electricity and gas departments, UPAGE's origins can be traced back to the City Council unions of the 1950s.

UPAGE Milestones
1995 – UPAGE was a key partner to facilitate a smooth transition during the Corporatisation & Restructuring of Public Utilities Board (PUB) to form Singapore Power.
2001 – UPAGE was again managing the ground when there were further liberalization and divestment of Power Generation companies (GenCos) to Temasek Holdings
2007-2008 – Sale of GenCos by Temasek Holdings Union representatives form part of the panel interviewing potential buyers of the three GenCos. Negotiate for exgratia payment for its members during the sales process for the three GenCos
2008 – Launch of UPAGE Endowment Fund Set up with contributions from UPAGE's unionised companies and Temasek Holdings.
2010 – Launch of WSQ For Energy Utilities Sector Companies will benefit from the enhanced funding support and structured approach to upgrading the industry's workforce under the WSQ. UPAGE played a catalytic role in bringing together industry leaders, EMA, WDA and driving this initiative.
